What Causes Painful Urination, Slight Clear Discharge And Pink Eye?
Question: Hello.
I was treated 6 days ago with 1 gram of azithromycin and 400 mg of suprex for chlamydia and possible gonno, my aymptoms were painfull urination and slight clear discharge. I also developed pink eye the same day i started treatment. Since then most of my symptons have improved, but the burning sensation still lingers. Could this be because of inflammation? Should i wait a few more days before seeing my doctor again?

If the burning urination persists , you need to have a urine routine and culture test done, 2 days after stopping the antibiotic.It would be advisable to consult your doctor,who may advice certain blood tests like CBC, blood sugar, VDRL,HBsAG,HIV, after examination of your genitalia.Drink 8-10 glasses liquids daily and avoid intercourse till symptoms are fully resolved.

The treatment was only one dose of antibiotics. Is this treatment usually effective. Should it have been resolved by now? and are there any other infections that can cause my continued symptoms?
