What Causes Painful Urination?
Question: Hello, I am writing to ask of a question. I am a 21 year old female and for the past four days I have been having a little sting in my pee. I don't think it is UTI because I don't have the symtoms of a UTI. It doesn't sting all the time when I pee but it does at least once or twice a day. Some people have told me that it could be a cut but I just want to make sure it is not something serious. Plus it doesn't hurt the whole time just for a couple of seconds and then it stops and I feel fine.
Brief Answer:
UTI should be ruled out
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Pain or sting while urination is most commonly due to urinary tract infection.
Sometimes, frequent pain while urination is the only symptom of UTI , and no other symptom is present.
A cut in urethra would have caused pain each time during urination.
I will suggest you to get your urine examination done to rule out any urinary tract infection and get appropriate treatment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
