Brief Answer: Tweezer to eke out the ingrown hair Detailed Answer: Hi there XXXXX. From your History & Clinical description, this appears to be an 'ingrown' or 'ruptured' hair follicle post shaving possibly that has caused a small infection in the area...what we term 'pseudofolliculitis'. You can get this treated at your doctors clinic. Alternatively please do take a tweezer & gently prise the hair out from the area that may help release the pus/infection. It will resolve once this is done. I suggest an additional use of Azithromycin tabs (antibiotic) 500mg once daily for 3 days that is a prescription that a GP/ER room will help you fill out. Please don't shave against the grain & this will not recur. Good Luck & Godspeed. Dr Praveen Rodrigues MD
