What Causes Pale Vaginal Mucous Post Surgery To Remove A Vaginal Cyst?
Question: Hi i am 22 years old i have just recently had a cyst removed from inside my vagina. I actually had got an infection after the surgery, but was treated with antibiotics and has all cleared up. My surgery was 3 weeks ago . Any way i have noticed the inside of my vagina is a very pale pink ? I did a little bit of research and the only thing i could find about it was that i havent had sex and i have a low libido, what isn't the case i just actually cant have sex just yet as im still healing. (I would like to) so it couldnt be that right? But i was wondering why else it could be this light pink color? Could you please help me ? Thank you ...
Brief Answer:
vaginal paleness is not related to lack of libido
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic.I understand your concern.
In my opinion the pale vaginal mucous might be due to number of reasons like anaemia, fibrous scar due to surgery etc.
But it might not be related to the low sexual activity or low libido.
If the pale mucosa is associated with vaginal dryness then it need to be evaluated.
So relax.
Hope this satisfies your query.

the whole of the inside of my vagina is pale pick, they didnt actually cut the inside of my vagina to get the cyst out they went through one of my flaps so there isnt a scar at all inside there. Is there anything else why it could be so pale pink? And i also have alot of very white discharge ?.... So my vagina is still very moist, pale pink inside and has a lot of white discharge.
Brief Answer:
examination helps in diagnosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I got your query.I understand your concern.
In my opinion the pale vaginal mucosa can also be seen in low HB or anaemia.
It can be normal variant also.
But definite diagnosis is possible only after physical examination.Examination helps to know if it is normal or abnormal.
So I suggest you to consult a gynaecologist and also get HB done to rule out any anaemia.
The white discharge if not associated with itching and foul smelling might be normal. It might not be related to paleness of vaginal mucosa.
Pale vaginal mucosa is mostly seen in postmenopausal women due to estrogen deficiency and it is very rare to see in reproductive age group. So relax.Dont worry.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
