HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Requip can be associated with palpitations in 3% of persons who used the medication and could definitely be contributing to your abnormal heart rates but your doctor may need to rule out other causes before adjusting the medication.
Normally in patients with increased heart rates certain tests are done including- (1)ECG (looks at the rate of the heart, any abnormal rhythms, can also detect if there are areas of enlargement or decreased flow based on changes in the heart tracing)
(2)complete blood count- anemia is a cause of increased heart rate and this normally has to be ruled out
(3)thyroid function tests-high levels of thyroid hormone can also cause increases in the heart rate so levels are also checked
It may be the medication affecting the heart rate but other potential areas would have to be assessed first.
You may want to consider a visit to your doctor.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
