Question: About a week ago, I noticed a small (smaller that a pea) lump on the top part of my right labia minora. There are no sores and it is painful to touch. I have been super stressed out lately. I'm 37 years old. Thoughts?

Happily married for 12 years! No fever, no redness. I do have intermittent over active bladder when I'm stressed! I don't feel my OAB when relaxing, distracted or sleeping.

Brief Answer:
Might be a sebaceous cyst

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I got your information.

In my opinion the lump might be due to sebaceous cyst.

Sebaceous glands are present in the labia minora region.Sebaceous duct obstruction might lead to accumulation of secretions in the sebaceous gland. It is same like pimple else where on the body.

As you have no fever, redness and surrounding swelling it might not be infected.

So you might go for sitz bath and local warm compressions.
For pain you might take Brufen or paracetamol.

In case if redness and fever develop, which are the signs of infection you might a need a course of antiboitics after consulting a doctor.

Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to ask any more queries.

Besty regards...dr.srilatha.
