Question: Hi, I was in the hospital for 2 weeks after surgery. I am a non walking male, 69 yrs old.
I now have raw, red peeling skin in the area between to top of the leg and groin area. It does have an odor...
How can I treat this situation?

Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably you have developed intertrigo.
It's a mixed bacterial and fungal infection.
I treat such cases with a combination of antifungal and antibacterial cream.
Ointment clotrimazole to be applied in morning and ointment mupirocine to be applied in night for 15 days gives good response.
This combination works well and is safe.
You can try this.
If possible upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.
