What Causes Pelvic Pain During Pregnancy?
Question: Hello doctor,
My wife is suffering from pain in her left side of pelvic bone (probably near joint area). She is 32 weeks pregnant now. She had a history of slip before her pregnancy (around 1.5 years back) and had discomfort in that area for couple of weeks then and she was alright after that without any problem till 2-3 weeks before.
Now, she is having the same pain. She also has a Vitamin D and B12 deficiency history for which she was taking D-Rise and Nervijen injection, but recent blood reports as part of pregnancy test shows it normal.
Kindly let me know your thoughts on this.

Brief Answer:
Need not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
There will a small amount of laxity increased in the pelvic joints during last days of pregnancy. This is normal. This is considered as pelvic preparation for child birth.
Such increase in laxity can cause pain in joints affected in past or sometimes even in normal joints. This is not serious and do not pose any problems in future.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
Need not worry
