What Causes Persistent Dry Cough?

Question: Hi,
I am 26 year Male and I facing cough since 2 months. It is a dry cough. I took medicines and syrups but nothing is helping. Since 1 week I am having sore throat also and today I am feeling little pain in my right chest.
I have changed my city from XXXXXXX to XXXXXXX 2 and a half months ago and this city is really polluted. I am not sure what has happened to me.
Can you please help.

I have gone through your follow up query; and suggest you that you may go for laryngoscopic examination of throat to rule out the pharyngitis, tonsillitis and or laryngitis.

I also suggest you that you may also go for the throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity for specific prescription of antibiotic.

These both tests are absolutely necessary for better management.
