What Causes Persistent Hair Loss Despite Taking Medication?

default
Posted on Tue, 16 Aug 2016
Question: Hello,

I have been using Rogaine (Foam) from last 2 weeks. Today exactly it is 2 weeks. My hair fall have reduced during the washing of the hair, but after i apply rogaine and then comb my hair, then some hair falls every time, like 5-6 hairs.

I know that once you start applying the hair falls as this is the sign that hair will grow again which are healthy? Is this TRUE?

I am applying every morning and then every night before i sleep. After i have applied roagine i sit in front of the FAN to let it dry.. IS IT OK IF I SIT BEFORE A FAN?

After how long the hair fall should stop? and how long will it take to regrow hair.

I am having cold and i will be meeting with my doctor today, if he gives me medicine, can i still use rogaine if i am taking medicine.?

Can i apply XXXXXXX Frutener, complex 5 also once in 2 weeks.

Brief Answer:
Rogaine needs at least 4 months to start showing effects.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question.

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Rogaine should be applied when your hair is dry. And yes you can sit in front of the fan to help it dry but better is for the root of the hair to absorb it gradually.

It will need around 4 months for the hair to start growing. So a bit of hair fall is normal and you will start seeing soon thin hair growing.

Tell your doctor that you are using it so he will see if the medicines he will give you will combine with this one.

As for XXXXXXX Frutener, personally I would not recommend using it, since Rogaine is one of the best medicines so don't mix it with many other medicines or supplements. Just have patience and wait.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have other questions or concerns, otherwise please kindly close and rate the question.

Dr. Papaqako

Dear Dr Papaqako,

I just came back from doctor, and just to tell you, i was having cold, the cold is ok but i had throat infection so he has given some medicines: Please can you see if they have no impact with Rogaine:

1. Tantum Verde (Oral Rinse) (Benzydamine HCI)

2. Nasonex (Aqueous Nasal Spray 0.05%)

3. Telfast Plus (Aventis) (For Allergy)

4. Floksid Tab 500Mg (Promed) take half twice a day

5. Imunos Plus Tab (For Better Imune System)

I am in Indonesia so doctors here give a lot of medicine. This is my first time visting any doctor here.

Can you recommend if all is OK and i can go ahead and use Rogaine without any issue,

Brief Answer:
No interactions

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for your follow-up question.

I am happy that you have just a throat infection, which from the medicines I see its not treated with antibiotics, so it is not severe.

I checked personally every medicine above, and none of them interacts with Rogaine. You can use it safely, and I hope you will be happy with the results of using it.

Feel free to ask questions if anymore.

Regards.
