Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain the symptoms are looking consistent with the symptoms of Transient Lingual Pappilitis and the cause of it can be due to local irritation like with any dental prosthesis like denture, sharp teeth, taking very hot food or chemical injury..
Other causes can be hormonal fluctuations, allergic reactions, digestive issues while at times can be genetic in origin..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and along with a thorough clinical evaluation and a detailed medical history he can also advise you a biopsy of the papillae done to confirm the diagnosis..

As of now you can take supportive treatment to relieve the symptoms like taking soothing foods like yoghurt, and other soft foods, do warm saline gargles, avoid spicy food, suck ice cubes and gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignociane..
Over the counter painkillers like Tylenol or Ibuprofen can be taken..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
