What Causes Persistent Itching In The Eyes?

may need to switch eye drop and add an oral agent as well
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Itching is most often due to an allergic response though it is unusual for one eye to react to an allergy and not the other eye.
Zaditol is an antihistamine , ketotifen , that should help reduce the itching but if you are not having any relief then your doctor may want to consider switching you to olopatadine .
Some persons with allergies of the eyes have responded to this better. In addition to using an alternative drop, you may also want to consider using an oral anti histamine so that you may have additional medication in your system eg zyrtec, claritine, allegra or benadryl
You may also need your eyes assessed by an optometrist or opthalmologist to make sure that there are no foreign bodies in the eyes causing a problem.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
