Brief Answer:
Zanaflex 40 mg or 4 mg?

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist, here to answer your query.

I think you have mistakenly written Zanaflex 40 mg.Is it 4 mg?If its 4 mg, then dose can be increased still further.
For Restless leg syndrome, other medicines like Dopaminergic agonists(Pramipexole,Ropinirole) Benzodiazepines(Clonazepam) and Iron(if deficient) may be of help and can be tried.

I shall be glad to have you in follow-up with further details.

It is 4 mg zanaflex. Was mistakenly not administered when I was in the hospital with pnemonia. That was a horror story. I couldnt be moved or touched without screaming pain. a neurologist finally came in and noted that the zanaflex had not been given to me for over a week. Once that hospital started giving it to me I was sent home in a day and half without the screaming pain. I don't trust hospitals and very few doctors anymore.
I will ask my neurologist about some of these other meds or increasing the zanaflex. I am so tired right now. Havn't been able to sleep again tonight.

Zanaflex dose can be increased further. Please discuss with your neurologist regarding the same and if he wants to put you up on some alternative medicine for RLS, as I mentioned above.
