What Causes Persistent Pain In The Groin Area?

Question: My wife has gone to the Dr for a pap smear. The Dr could not open the cervix with his instruments. They gave her anesthesia no positive results. She is now getting a test to see if she is menopausal. She has had pain in her groin area for three months. No apparent menstruation for the 3 months. Her doctor does not seem to think that this is a priority. After the test comes back to see if she is menopausal. Then they will discuss a cat scan. I tried to get her to another physician. A side bar the Doc being unconcerned about the occult blood in the uterus if things are so tight that nothing comes in or goes out of the cervix for three months if she is postmenopausal. What about the pain. She is one not to complain.

I am so sorry to hear about this pain that your wife has experienced for the past three months. Is 60years her age? If yes, then she is long overdue menopause. Most women would normally get menopausal by 50years of age. I will not want that you act fast and precipitate things. I will rather suggest that you follow the doctors systematic and logical approach in identifying and addressing the exact problem. It is not good to get to doing so many tests at once and seeing other physicians by the side. Remember, her life is in no immediate danger and getting the diagnosis right before acting is the priority and not how fast this is done.
