Brief Answer:
Can be post traumatic arthritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the toes after a history of injury to the area can be due to post traumatic arthritis. This is due to a persistent inflammation in the joints of toes.
The best way to get rid of the pain is to do a hot compress in the area for at lest 10 minutes thrice a day and massage it with oil of gaultheria or oil of winter green,so many patients of mine are telling they are relieved of pain with that.
Increasing the dietary fish intake and/or fish oil capsules (omega-3 capsules) can sometimes reduce the inflammation .
Take vegetables and fruits that are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Calcium, Omega-3 Fatty acid, Zinc, Magensium and many more. Adding a good multivitamin and multimineral supplement will also help.
I hope this answers your query.
