What Causes Persistent Rashes On The Scrotum And Penis?
Question: Ok i just went to the doctor yesterday for an on going rash (5day). Started with a the scrotom. Then back of penis then inner thighs and now front of penis. All are non itchy and non painful he diagnosed this as a yeast infection and proscribed nystatin powder and lamisil. Treated last night today the section on the front of penis has worsed and the scrotal section has no change. I need a faster and better solution
Brief Answer:
Antifungal lotions may act faster.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. Lamisil and Nystatin are good antifungals and should provide relief. It is hard to give you a faster relief. However, you may try Candid (clotrimazole) lotion instead. The lotion usually acts faster.
You will have to be a bit patient. Keep the area clean and dry.
