What Causes Persistent Vertigo While On Meclizine?

default
Posted on Sat, 24 Jun 2017
Question: Why do I get vertigo all the time? My last one lasted a little over 2 weeks, went away several days ago, now it is back. I have had head movements by a physical therapist which helped. But it keeps coming back. I have taken meclizine in the past, didn't help. I had a double neck fusion ( C 5/6 and C 6/7) in 1990, the lower level failed. These dizzy spells just started happening about 4 months ago. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for any help.

You are having Benign positional vertigo as the symptoms come and go.
But as you have a double neck fusion, you should get it once examined.
Please tell me does te symptoms appear in a particular neck position like on movement on one side symptoms might increase?
Do you feel any weakness in the hands or fingers?
