What Causes Pinkish Spot On Foreskin Of Penis?

default
Posted on Thu, 18 Sep 2014
Question: I just noticed this small pinkish spot on the foreskin of my penis, in an area of my skin that is lightened by vitiligo. It doesn't itch or feel raised at all, and has gotten a little lighter over the last couple of days.

Brief Answer:
There is no reason to get worried now!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I have reviewed this image fully. There is really no reason to get worried about this spot right now as it doesn't seem to represent a clear disease condition or an ongoing disease process at this time. I will suggest that we monitor it a little longer to obtain more information that may be needed for further investigation, diagnosis and management if need be in future. This could also represent an ongoing extension of the vitiligo.

In all, not very suggestive of a concerning pathology or ongoing pathological process that warrants immediate and aggressive medical management. I will suggest that you monitor a little longer for now.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
