Hi,

Dezacor is a medication that contains the active ingredient dexamethasone, which is a type of corticosteroid. It is commonly used to reduce inflammation and treat a variety of conditions, including skin conditions such as vitiligo.

While Dezacor can be effective in treating vitiligo, it can also have potential side effects, especially when used for extended periods. Some possible side effects of Dezacor in children may include mood changes, increased appetite, weight gain, high blood pressure, increased risk of infection, and growth suppression.

HHSONE lotion is a topical medication that contains the active ingredient clobetasol propionate, which is a strong steroid that is also used to treat skin conditions such as vitiligo. Like Dezacor, it can have potential side effects when used for extended periods.

It is important to discuss the risks and benefits of these medications with your daughter's healthcare provider and to closely monitor her for any signs of side effects while using these medications. It is also important to follow the healthcare provider's instructions for proper application and dosing and to report any adverse reactions or concerns to the healthcare provider.

In addition to medication, there are other treatment options for vitiligo, including phototherapy (light therapy), topical calcineurin inhibitors, and surgical treatments such as skin grafting. It is important to discuss all available treatment options with your daughter's healthcare provider to determine the most appropriate course of treatment for her specific condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
