Question: what is a pontine lacunar infarct and is it the same as basal ganglia lacunar infarct?

Pontine is a part if brain stem and it's infarction is considered as a brain stem infarction. In fact Pontine is a nucleus called as Pontine nucleus in the brain stem.
Basal ganglia infarction is a different identity ad basal ganglia is a different structure from brain stem however both being parts of brain are considered as Brain Stroke.
Moreover, treatment remains the same in both the infarctions.
