What Causes Poor Appetite And Lack Of Concentration In An Infant?

Question: Hello Doctor, The query here is related to my elder child who is 3 years and 9 months old. He goes to school studies Lower KinderGarten (PP1). Overall he is focused, attentive, grasps faster at home or school at any place. There are couple of issues which has been chronic on him. He is very quiet at school and does not interact with fellow children. At home he yells and shouts, very adamant for everything and anything. Does not want to have food even if its fed by her mother. He has been used to having food,Snack or Milk while watching TV or XXXXXXX and continues to do that. Even then its very difficult to feed him. Next thing is he is very adamant and wants everyone to do exactly what he says and for everything he just needs his mom to do. Also, he is not social and even if we attempt to take him to place where few of the neighbouring children play he forces himself to stay at home. Due to this he is not social both at home and school.I would like to know how to change these habits. There has been a change in last 3 months as he has got a sibling sister who is just 3 months old. I don't think this has changed as he has been like this always and there is no sense of jelousy etc due to this as he likes her and pampers well.

Thanks for asking on healthcaremagic.
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. The primary concern would be to rule out Autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Please fill out the questionnaire at:

Unless the results indicate any warning signs you need not worry. But if the results indicate visit a doctor for further testing. He would also be able to indicate if you need to visit a child psychologist.
Let me know if I could help further.
