What Causes Post Menopausal Bleeding?
Question:
Hello I am 47 years old and I haven't had a period in exactly 1 yr (this month (Jan) will make one year) then spotting today
I just had spotting today (the size of a penny) about 1 month I had vaginal odor but I thought it was a bacterial infection. Also, 2 years ago I had a polyp (benign) removed and now I'm very scared of the worse.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I understand your concerns about postmenopausal bleeding.
Since you have got a polyp removed you might be worrying about developing cancer.
Majority of the times such bleeding are not due to cancer. This is possibly due to recurrence of polyp which cause this bleeding.
Hence please get examined by your gynecologist for recurring polyp and get it removed.
Let me reassure you that possibility of cancer are low.
