What Causes Premature Ejaculation Inspite Of Taking Bisoprolol?

Question: Hi, I wrote yesterday about taking Cymbalta 120 MG's twice daily once at bedtime and once in the morning. Equalling 120mg's. I was told this is ok probably for the rest of my life. Because when I tried to stop taking this Med. I had adverse side effects. That I don't think I could have handled. So I told my Psychatrist ,she said to start taking this again. Now I am back to feeling normal again. But the reason why I wanted to stop taking this medicine is because it has sexual side effects. Sometimes I have a hard time staying erect. So is there anything else can take with this drug to make me preform better without going of of Cymbalta.I tried Viagra, but that did not help much ,because I also take Bisoprol for blood pressure. Also I take Linsinipril for blood pressure, but my doctor told me to break the bisiprol in half which I do. My doctor wants me to stop taking bisiprol altogether. Because he said the long term side effects of Bisiprol are weight gain. So if I stop taking the Bisiprol will this help the viagra to work better.
Brief answer....given below
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Although BISOPROLOL is a beta blocker and does cause erectile dysfunction but the fact is that almost all the anti depressants cause loss of libido and erectile dysfunction.
Your doctor is right in suggesting that you may wean off gradually from BISOPROLOL and Viagra should definitely help in that situation in much better way,but you can ask your doctor for trying WELLBUTRIN instead of CYMBALTA,if it can be done.
WELLBUTRIN causes much less sexual side efects.
Discuss with your doctor about it.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Very good answer and helpful thankyou!
Hello,
In addition to what I wrote earlier,I would like to mention that non pharmacological lifestyle measures should also be adopted in addition to the meications you are taking.
This includes....
Quitting of smoking ,if any.
Eating healthy by taking more of fresh fruits, green vegetables and nuts
Avoiding fried foods.
Doing regular aerobic exercises. These exercises help in release of endorphins in the body which are feel good hormones and are good stress busters.
Walking bare foot on green grass is a very good stress buster.
Doing yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercises.
All the above mentioned methods would not only improve your depression but also help in your sexual dysfunctions.
Thanks
