What Causes Pressure And Pain In The Chest Area?

Question: Hello -I have had pressure/pain in my chest for three full days. I went to urgent care. They did several test. No answers. What could this be?
They did xrays (showed nothing), an EKG (fairly normal), an ultrasound (no extra fluid around heart), and blood work that looked good. Problem is, I'm still having pain when I move in certain ways, when I cough or sneeze, or when I lift my arms. What could this be? Is it heart related?

Brief Answer:
Gastric/muscular-skeletal pain;ibuprofen/hot compresses advised
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
The pain you are feeling is not heart related.
Most probable causes include:
- stomach issues: GERD/gastritis
- muscular-skeletal
To my opinion,
- further abdominal ultrasound is advised together with
- taking ibuprofen or other OTC pain killers
- and applying hot compresses and analgesic cream locally
Hope it was of help!

I hsve taken quite a bit of OTC meds. 2 Aleve, 4 advil, Advil and motrin - all pretty much like clockwork. None of it seems to eas the pain. I'm even switching back and forth with heat/cold pads. This is when my anxiety spikes that it might be a blood clot or some other dangerous heart problem. I only have the pain, though. No other symptoms. What is this? What should i do?e
Brief Answer:
The pain is more anxiety related...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
As long as the examinations done on ER were normal than there's nothing to worry about your pain.
My opinion is that it's more anxiety related and you should take chamomile and valerian tea to relief from anxiety.
If this doesn't help you should contact a psychologist to start the proper treatment for anxiety.
Wish you health!
