Brief Answer:
Avoid weight lifting, Wear elastic bandage, ice, limb elevation
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
It is possible that there is soft tissue in that region due to heavy weight lifting. You need to apply ice, Wear an elastic non adhesive bandage and keep your limb elevated.
Do not do weight lifting for 10 days, give rest to the region.
You could also get an Xray to rule out any bony conditions that can cause of aggravate the pain.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Brief Answer:
Physiotherapy MRI
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
You must keep your limb elevated, do finger movement exercises. Once the cast is removed you can go for Physiotherapy to bring back the range is movement.
If you have been in plaster for more than 6 weeks, then get an MRI , it'll help to find out any associated nerve/muscle/tendon injury as all these things take longer time to heal(quite a few months).
Please let me know if there are any questions regarding.
