What Causes Pressure On Head, Dizziness, Fainting And Rapid Heart Beat?

Question: Hello Doctor
Since last 2 weeks my body is acting strangely... Most of the time i feel as if someone is pressing my head from all directions and at the same time I also feel faint and dizzy as if i will faint any moment but this doesnt really happen ... I dont smoke or drink ... i have even started exercise but these symptoms are there each day ... Also Since 2 days i have noticed i need to take more breathes while eating ... After eating for sometime this breathing process returns to normal ... One more thing i have observed that when i check my pulse sometimes my heart beats normally but all of a sudden the beat becomes faster and gradually returns to normal ... But pulse rate is always between 70 to 80 ... I dont have any heart disease as i have had my echo tmt ecg which were reported normal (checked by my brother in law who is a cardiologist) .. I must say i have gained weight around 10 kgs in the past 2 to 3 months due to sedentary lifestyle earlier .. I would like to know is there any underlying problem contributing to these symptoms ... please advice
Thank You

Brief Answer:
Get Thyroid profile.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Usually this is seen in anxiety or cardiac issues. Since cardiac issues are the most common and have been ruled out by the appropriate investigations so that is out of question.
Now, it all seems to me anxiety related. I would recommend you to get s Thyroid profile as well as a color Doppler of your carotids that would clear out the remaining other causes.
For anxiety related issues I would recommend you to ask your doctor to prescribe you SSRI like Escitalopram.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Hello Doctor
One month ago i had all major bloodwork done including thyroid profile. I have uploaded the reports for your observation ... I dont think its due to anxiety but tension headaches may be the cause of the problem ... Due to high levels of stress in mid 2015 I had to take etizolam 0.25mg which i started from september 2015 and continued till January 2016 same dose... After which i stopped on my doctors recommendation and everything was okay .. But since beginning of april 2016 i have these new pattern of headache and dizziness which i already explained ...(hiv test in the report has nothing to do with any risky exposure ... I tested for nothing)

Brief Answer:
Yes that's Stress Headache.
Detailed Answer:
There is no major issue in your report. And yes anxiety only leads to Tension type Headache or Stress Headache. Your diagnosis is absolutely right.
My recommendations and treatment follow up with such issues in my patients goes in favor of short course with SSRI like Escitalopram. Results are absolutely good.
I recommend my patients to take help of these medicines and slowly build your power of controlling your mind with the help of meditation.
Please share my opinion with your doctor.
