What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Spotting Despite Taking Utovlan?
Question: Hi,
i have irregular periods and my doctor gave me utovlan to take once a day for 10 days so that I can have my period to be able to do a fsh test n more blood test (cant really understand what he wrote) followed by an x-ray of my fallopian tube to determine why i cannot get pregnant. today is the last day for the tablet but i've been spotting blood since yesterday. Is it normal? My doctor said to do the fsh test n other 2 between day 3 to 5 of my period but i'm confused whether do i need to start counting day 1 since the first spotting or will i have a proper period then start counting? When can i do the x-ray then?

PLease visit your doctor tomorrow morning.
Get a pelvic ultrasound scan.
Your doctor needs to measure the thickness of the lining of the uterus ( the endometrium ).
If this is your proper period, it will be quite thin , while if this is erratic spotting, the lining will be intermediate / thick .
That is when it can be decided when to go for the tests and the HSG.
