Brief Answer:
Upload a clear picture. Give some info.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Following are my comments:

At 6 years age, pubic hair is quite UNCOMMON and its a cause for concern. Precocious puberty needs to be ruled out by proper clinical examination and investigation.

I suggest you to UPLOAD a clear picture of pubic or genital region for better understanding. Let me know few things regarding this case:

1) Do you notice any breast budding or growth?

2) Give details about current height and weight?

3) Do you notice any kind of behavior like adult?

Waiting for your earliest response to give proper guidance.

Brief Answer:
Need complete evaluation for precocious puberty.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

Welcome back again. Thanks for your update.

I have just suspected for Precocious Puberty. However, it CAN'T be confirmed without viewing image or clinical examination.

Pubic hair before 8 yrs and breast development before 7 yrs are presenting signs of Precocious Puberty. At 6 years of age, average height is 115 cm and weight is 20 kg - slight variation in your daughter.

INVESTIGATIONS: These basic investigations should be done following clinical examination:-

a) X-ray hand and wrist - for bone age and acceleration of growth.
b) Pelvic ultrasound scan - to rule out ovarian pathology.
c) Skull X-ray or CT scan - to rule out intracranial lesion if any.
d) Complete hormone profile including thyroid, serum hCG, Testosterone, DHEAS.
e) EEG is optional. Vaginal smear test may be done.
f) IVP or CT scan may be required to rule out Adrenal gland pathology.

Here, I suggest you to consult with local Gynecologist or Pediatrician for clinical examination, above mentioned tests and proper treatment.

Hope, I have answered your query. Wish your good health and take care. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
