What Causes Pulsating Sensation In The Chest?

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Nov 2017
Question: I am feeling severe pulsating pain in the middle of my chest on lifting any weight of even as low as 2 kg. The pain lasts for about 30 minutes. This is happening from past 3 days. Otherwise I am absolutely normal.
Kindly suggest if its seriously to be looked in to or can be left to heal automatically.

Brief Answer:
Get Chest X-ray, ECG and Echocardiography

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for asking your query on HealthcareMagic.

Considering you have pain only by lifting weights and not at rest, it can be due to muscle pain. However, I cannot be sure and you need a physical examination by your local doctor to confirm the same.
The pain of acidity is not usually pulsating and is usually relieved by anti-acidity medications.
I would suggest you get a chest X-ray, ECG and Echocardiography to rule out heart disease and let me know the reports.
