What Causes Random Cough And Chest Pain After Accidental Inhalation Of Deodorant Fumes?
Question: Silly but now concerned. I accidentally inhaled deodera t spray last night. I started coughing immediately and it continued for hours. Today I have a random cough and pain in upper chest. Now my throat hurts. Should I be concerned? I have never reacted this way before and have used this type of deodorant on and off for years
Brief Answer:
No reason to be concerned!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this reaction. It is totally expected and not a huge concern. If this had to cause serious issues that required medical intervention, it would have happened immediately. Be calm and monitor only. Resolution would be spontaneous and so within 2-3days. Please, these are not friendly substances when inhaled in much volumes and you should always take measures to avoid that from happening again.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

Still have a horrible cough. How long should this last?
Brief Answer:
IS it dry or productive!
Detailed Answer:
HI,
I will say as long as breathing is okay, there is no cause for alarm as the healing wold not be instantaneous. This would be a dry cough with no phlegm and typical of irritation caused by this inhalation. Be patient and let’s see what happens within 7-10days.
