It first appeared last Thursday or Friday I believe. At first I thought it was eczema, but it didn't clear up with his cream. It was first some little red dots (which he had had before). Now it almost looks like hives (the worst being today. There was hardly anything yesterday amd the day before). He isn't allergic to anything that I know of. The only change to his diet was a little bit of lamb that his dad gave him Weds night. They don't seem to bothet him. He also has had a mild rash around his mouth for the last couple of weeks that his Dr thonks is due to drool from teething. He will be 1 in a week and a half. I included some pictures.
Brief Answer:
It's nothing serious in my opinion , simple allergy

Hi,
Thanks for writing back,
Sorry for the delay I felt it better to talk to a paediatrics resident , my friend, and show him the pictures you sent , as in such a young baby wanted to make sure that we go in the best direction.
I am now in opinion after a considered thought and analizing all the available data that your son has what we call urticaria(allergic rashes, hives, wheels) , in this age such allergies are common because his body is getting exposed to new foods and things every day.
I would suggest you not to panic, you can use an over the counter antihistamin syrup but in very minute quanitity say one fourth of a tea spoon.
Try to find out what can be culprit food which could have caused this.
Revie what ever he took the last day, what was new? try tohunt up the culprit and avoid it.
Any new type of cloth worn or exposure to a pet for the frist time can help.
You can make a list of suspects and discuss with me.
For the time behind an antihistamine syrup would do.
Will take a day to settle but you shouldn't expose him to the same allergy causing thing again so try to catch the suspect, and till then switch to basic food which you used many a times and never hurt him.
Every thing is expected to stay fine :)
I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.
