What Causes Rash On Glans Penis And Inner Side Of Prepuce?
Question: Hello doctor, im a uncircumcised guy and im 28 years old. I havent have sex till now and first thing happened to me was a minor rash on my internal foreskin which stayed almost months now. i masturbate quite alot of time and i think may due to that it happened. then four five days before i had a rash on my glans after i masturbated and since then its there. i tried anti inflamatory for almost one week but it was same. so the problem is that the small rash on foreskin has now been swollen and its bit painful. i dont have problem in urinating but i have stoped masturbation coz its painful when i retract my penis. i have applied anti fungul cream and tried putting ice on it but it seems its same. please advise me on that and is it serious. or should i wait for some day more if the swelling reduces. your advise will be very helpful for me. thank you

Saw the photograph you uploaded. You have an ulcer over the glans penis and inner side of prepuce. It looks like genital herpes/ aphthous ulcer. In view of history of no sex till date, possibility of genital herpes is ruled out. So it could be an aphthous ulcer. Do you have any redness in the eye or any oral ulcers as well. If these are present then it could be part of behcet's disease. Do you get such ulcers often ?
I feel you should apply an anti biotic cream like fucidin cream or T-Bact cream thrice a day instead of antifungal cream and watch for few days for healing.Get this prescribed by your physician.

I dont have any redness in my eyes and ulcers at this moment and i dont often have those problems. i will try those creams but im worried about the swollen on the glans and foreskin. how long it will take to heal normally? And the white thing you saw on my penis are anti fungal cream which i applied. one more question will the redness and swelling will spread to other parts of glans and foreskin?

Once the infection and inflammation comes down the swelling will come down. Usually it takes one week for complete healing. If you apply antibiotic cream the swelling would not spread usually.

thank you for your advices, i have one question regarding my uncircumcised penis. in future will it appear again? if i regularly clean those areas will it help. Right now i can pull back my foreskin when its not hard and in future will i be able to retract it like now. im worried about my sex life. thank you.

If it is an aphthous ulcer there is a possibility of recurrence. Regularly cleaning the glans penis after retracting the prepuce using running water and gently swiping with finger will help. But do not clean vigorously or excessively with soap, dettol, scrub etc.
I understand that right now you can pull back foreskin only when penis is flaccid, that means you cannot do it when it is erect. This can cause problem during intercourse. So now after the ulcer heals try to retract the skin as much as possible on a daily basis so that the skin stretches. Gradually even when erect you will be able to retract completely. You may use oil as lubricant to aid in stretching. Do not overdo in one sitting. Do it little by little.
