What Causes Rash On Penis Head?

Question: Hi there. I have just noticed a rash on the head of my penis. There is no irritation whatsoever. No itching and no discomfort. I was recently diagnosed with clamydia and have just completed two weeks dose of doxycycline antibiotic. Nothing else showed up during the screening. Maybe it's just a reaction to the shower gel I'm using
Brief Answer:
Maybe insignificant.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i would think an allergic rash, usually causes symptoms like itching and some discharge or swelling in the same area.
In chlamydia infection, there may arise, similar asymptomatic rash like areas.
As you've completed a two weeks course of Doxycycline, it's best you've a review with the treating doctor, and get it examined.
Your partner must also get examined, to ensure the infection has cleared completely.
Wishing you good health.

I have no itching or discharge from the penis. Could just be an allergy to the shower gel I use. ?
Brief Answer:
Allergic rash unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
An allergy to shower gel is unlikely.
Allergic rashes cause the symptoms, as mentioned in my earlier reply.
As you're due for a check-up after two weeks course of antibiotic, the doctor will be able to examine the part closely, and give you a final opinion.
Wish you well.
