What Causes Recurrent Acute Pancreatitis?
Question: In 1973 I had pancreatitis in my 7th month of pregnancy. They performed a Caesarian and had a look at my pancreas too. I was sent home after a month and one week later had a second attack. They determined gallstones in my pancreas and removed as many as they could and removed my gall bladder too. The surgeon made an exit in my pancreas so any missed stones would pass through and indeed over the years three have passed. 37 years later I had my third attack. Am I considered a chronic pancreatitis or acute?
