I have read your query , review your medication & understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are having Meniere's disease or BPPV .

In my opinion , you will need complete ENT evaluation , examination & investigation to get relief .

I am not aware of good ENT surgeons around that part of the city. But for this problem, I would recommend you consult Professor Dr Mahadevaiah at Mahadevaiah ENT care center , SN 78 , Madiwala , Bengaluru .

Dr Karade, Thank you for the reference of Dr Mahadeviah. I will consult him, though his clinic seems to be a little far from my residence.

My follow-up question would be regarding the prescription of Vertin, whenever I have an episode. I currently feel quite all right with Vertin 8MG or sometimes 16 mg. But I end up eating it almost every two three days, whenever the vertigo strikes. I feel distinctly better after eating a pill. Will continuous use of Vertin be harmful to me in the long run? Is it safe? Any effects that I should be aware of?

An ENT specialist I had consulted earlier had okayed the use of Vertin, saying its alright to pop a 8mg pill everyday, if need be. Is it okay?
