What Causes Red And Itchy Bumps All Over The Body?
Question: I have red itchy bumps all over my body except my hands and private parts. My boyfriend has just started to get them on his arms and legs today but I've had them for a 5 days. I went to the doctor yesterday they said it was not scabies so what is it?

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
From review of history and picture, it looks like scabies only still for better amd specific diagnosis, I would want you to answer some missing points in history:
1. Apart from your boyfriend, anybody else in your family or any roomates having similar problem?
2. Is the itching more severe at night?
3. Is there itching over underarms, navel, or over buttocks?
4. Does your boyfriend have itchy papules over his genitals?
Hope you will revert with the details soon.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Topical halobetasol
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for providing the details.
The itchy rash you have developed is called papular urticaria, a form of allergic reaction to tiny insects like beg-bugs or mosquitoes.
Nothing to worry as you will be fine with the treatment.
I would advise you oral prednisolone tablets of 5 mg once daily for 10 days.
Apply halobetasol and fusidic acid combination cream twice a day over lesion.
Continue antihistaminics like Benadryl as required for itching.
I am sure within a week you will be much better.
Try to clean all the linen and clothes in warm water before further use.
Hope the answer was useful.
Thanks
