What Causes Red Bumps On Penis?

default
Posted on Tue, 1 Sep 2015
Question: Hello. I have just seen 2 red bumps on my penis 2 days ago and have been freaking out. Last week my condom did break on me.. Seriously sad. The bumps do not hurt they haven't blistered. It's 5:30 am right now and I'm researching. I am calling my local free clinic in the morning is there a specific test I need to ask for? I've been told just to ask for a screening. Also I live with my parents and siblings how can I prevent them from not getting what I may possibly have without telling them..

Read detail answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed 2 red bumps on your glans penis after having unprotected sex (Since condom has broken it can be called protected sex) .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Was the woman known to you specially about her STD status.?
2) Do you have urinary symptoms like burning ,frequency etc?
3) Is there any discharge from penis ?

In view of near unprotected unsafe sex the bumps on glans penis could be soft chancre.

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Swab test and culture of discharge from the bump /
3) Basic screening tests for STD

In the mean while take broad spectrum antibiotics like Erythromycin along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily .Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water .To keep your urine dilute

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
