What Causes Red Bumps On The Legs?
Personal care & dermatologist's advise would help..
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the query under health care magic. I have gone through your query & understood your concern.
The itchy red bumps on both of your legs ( from knees to ankle ).. spreading to arms could be allergic( to the clothing materials sued by you/ sweating/ cosmetics like soaps, talcum powder) or fungal dermatitis.. because of tight fitting , thick/ synthetic clothing causing a lot of sweat & damp skin/ neglected personal hygiene)
* I see more possibility of fungal infection.. as the local cortisone has only temporary effect ( if it was allergic result would have been relieved with regular use )..
In this context, I would suggest-
* Personal care-
- have a daily bath with warm/ cold water & a non irritant soap. Take it twice if sweating is more.
- avoid sweating.. wear clean , airy , loose trousers/ Be in a cool atmosphere, avoid being in sun.
-do not itch it vigorously. Instead, use anti fungal dusting powders
ointments
*Dermatologist's advise- mostly fungal infection of skin would resolve within 8-10 days with personal care & life style changes. .. But if it doesn't, you have to consult a dermatologist for advise of oral anti fungal medicines suitable
to you.
- Diabetes can aggravate & delay any infection .. so it is worth checking your blood sugar & get proper control if it is raised along with other treatment as per doctor's advise.
You would need sufficient days of oral therapy along with improved life style changes to ensure cure & avoid recurrence.
I hope that helps you. any further information you need.. please feel free to ask. I would be happy to answer.
Thanks.
