THANK YOU FOR YOUR OPINION. THE JOINT PAIN HAS INCREASED AND FOR THE LAST TWO DAYS I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT SWELLING OF MY ANKLES AND FEET, WHICH I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED PREVIOUSLY. THE AREA IS RED TO PURPLE AND HAS FEVER. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY LOSS OF APPETITE ALTHOUGH I AM A VERY LIGHT EATER BY NATURE. MY JOINTS ARE NOT EXPERIENCEING STIFFNESS.
I AWAIT YOUR FURTHER INFORMATION. THANK YOU.

Brief Answer:
This is arthralgia associated with viral infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
After reading your feedback I am sure that it is viral arthralgia. this joint pain and swelling is due to viral infection in blood causing inflammation of the joints. I would suggest you to get following investigations.
1. WBC
2. CRP
3. ESR
These tests will confirm the diagnosis .After getting all above test I would suggest you to start following treatment after discussing with your physcian.
1. Tablet Brufen twice daily
2. Broad spectrum antibiotic to prevent secondary infection.Antibiotic has to be decided by your physcian.
3. Good fluid intake and rest.
4. Also make sure that your blood pressure is with in normal limit which can some time increase calf swelling.
I hope these measures will help you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks.
