What Causes Red Pimples On The Face, Stomach And Back Of A Child?
Question: My 4 year old daughter has has a rash on face, stomach, and back for 5 days. It looks like tiny red pimples. No fever and she is acting fine. She says it doesn't itch or hurt. We haven't changed any detergents and she hasnt ate anything different. I called the doctor and they said to just watch it. I googled unfortunately and of course Im freaked out by what I saw. Im so scared its a leukemia rash. Could it just be a viral rash and I need to wait it out, or should I make another doctor appointment?
Brief Answer:
Please upload an image.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query. However, I would need you to upload an image of the rashes. Let me assure you that leukemia rash is the least of the concerns and a viral rash is much more likely. I could guide you after checking the image.
You are free to make another doctor's appointment. However, if you can rely on me, I would insist you to wait for my response after you upload the image.
I will wait for your response.
Regards

Here is the picture of the rash on her stomach
Brief Answer:
Possibly due to viral cause.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your response. I have checked the attached image. The rashes do not seem concerning. They are likely to be due to a viral cause. You may apply some emollient like calamine lotion topically. Give him some antiallergic like cetirizine once daily if there is itchiness. Nothing else needs to be done.
