I have no pictures for you. The dark red spots are flat and do not itch. I have only recently noticed them and I don't know how they started. There are 15 on my right lower arm and 2 on the left. I made a mistake, as I don't see any on my legs. They look like blood spots under the skin. I think I just wasted $18.00 because you are not going to help me, as is the case with all doctors I go to. They take your money and do nothing to help you. I'm sorry I bothered with this.
Brief Answer:
purpura
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
From your description it seems to be petechiae or purpura. However in order to be sure what is it, I need to see it and confirm the diagnosis.
Purpura are caused due to leaking of the blood into the skin.
When this occurs it could be either due to medications like aspirin or blood thinners. It could occur in a bleeding disorder.
It would be the best to meet your doctor who can run some blood tests for you like the coagulation profile.
Also there is no treatment needed for purpura as they resolve on their own.
You could still take vitamin C supplements which would help in faster resolution.
Please let me know if you have any queries. Take care
