What Causes Red Spots On The Toe?
Question: some small red spots appeared on my toe near the nail and seem to be spreading since yesterday. Look as if they are below the top surface of the skin and show no surface roughness.
Brief Answer:
Look like mosquito bites.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. I have checked the attached image. The red spots seem to be mosquito bites to me. I need to ask whether mosquitoes are rampant in your area. I also need to ask if the red spots are itchy. If itchy, I would insist you to take cetirizine tablet once daily for the next few days. Applying some emollent like aloe vera lotion should also help.
Regards

Please get a blood count done and share the reports.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
Sorry for the delay in my response.
I would need to know if there are other insects that could have bitten you. If that does not seem to be the case, I would need you to get a total blood count done. I am looking for the total WBC count and the Eosinophil percentage. I am also concerned about the platelet levels.
It's about a day has elapsed since you last wrote. I also need to know the developments during this time period. Also let me know if you have taken Cetirizine/ any other anti-allergic medication and whether it helped.
I will await your response.
