What Causes Red Streaks In The Armpits And Abdomen With Anal Itching?
Question: Male: 56 1/2 years old.
Originally observed numerous red striations on underside of arms and on stomach, followed by anal itching, including secondary infection in perianal tissue, scrotal area, and pain ("like bites") in the urethra months after returning from a 30 day visit to Guatemala. Pyrantel Pamoate (eight separate treatments), Albendazole (went through two $400 treatments after being to MD with "inconclusive" diagnosis), (Mebendazole no longer available in US), Homeopathic: Diatomactious Earth, Black Walnut Hull, wormwood, garlic, Jascaran da/Timbouqe/Propolis (found Quistes de Blastocystis hominus in followup visit to Guatemalan clinic specializing in parasites, but my symptoms exceed those of this parasite), countless colon cleanses and enemas (organic coffee, garlic, wormwood, black walnut, warm water), and myriad other homeopathic remedies (water fasts, extended sauna treatments, eating only organic vegan, mega doses of various vitamins and herbs, pumpkin seeds, papaya seeds, garlic and petroleum paste in rectum, ingesting organic tobacco, arrow root powder with organic blackstrap molasses, giving up grains and sugar, ad nauseum) tried over a five year period...ALL TO NO AVAIL.
I have been living this hell for five years and I am sooooooooooooo tired of the 24/7 torment (I am not exaggerating; these creatures, whatever they may be, give me no rest, and are merciless in their torment).
Resultantly, my energy levels are low, I'm flatulent, I get colds/flus EVERY year (I am in great physical condition for my age), I have had a hard lump in my left throat under my jaw (months after the striations appeared - MD was not concerned - I have that lump today, and it's never gone away; sometimes it inflames and hurts), and once in a while small red striations appear on the left side of my lower abdomen.
I use hand sanitizer frequently throughout the day, and sometimes triple antibiotic cream (OTC) when the skin gets irritated to keep skin infection at bay.

Brief Answer:
Unknown parasitic infestation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
You seem to have contracted some unknown parasitic infestation and have undergone various empirical remedies. The diagnosis is not yet clear. What I feel FNAC(Fine needle aspiration cytology) or Fine needle biopsy of the lump under your left jaw may give some clue to the underlying cause of your illness continuing for such a long period. Once a firm diagnosis is obtained, treatment would be definite and curative.
Meanwhile please upload relevant investigations you have undergone so far for perusal

Hi Dr. Biswas:
I uploaded the diagnosis and treatment that I received in Guatemala, not including the colonic irrigations, as I have no paperwork for those. For the life of me, I can't seem to find ANY of my saved medical records, including the ones for the parasites - I'll have to contact the MD's office to retrieve those records.
I'm presuming that I have to see a specialist to obtain the FNAC; am I correct in this assumption?
Thank you,

Brief Answer:
Parasitic infestation
Detailed Answer:
Your stool report 30.4.15 shows presence of Blastocystis hominis,a protozoal parasite .Some patients who pass B. hominis in their stools are asymptomatic, whereas others have diarrhea and associated intestinal symptoms. If diarrheal symptoms associated with Blastocystis are prominent, either metronidazole (750 mg thrice daily for 10 days) or TMP-SMX (160 mg/800 mg twice daily for 7 days) can be used.
You might have been already treated for Blastocystosis by your doctor.
FNAC of lump or gland is done by Pathologist. However you have to be seen first by a Physician who will refer you to Pathologist for the required FNAC/biopsy.
