What Causes Reddish Purple Patch On Arm Post Unprotected Oral Sex?
Question: Within the first couple days of having unprotected oral and vaginal sex I got a dry, reddish purple patch on my arm around my bicep (after a couple of days it peeled off). I also have swollen bumps on my armpits.Also within a day or two i started getting a tingling/burning sensation on my inner thigh and scrotum area (no lessions or bumps and no pain during urination)been ongoing for about 9 days now.Also slight sore throat and eyes slightly itchy. I recently went to get a hiv and std test(no results yet). Are these symptoms related to hsv,hiv, or just allergic reaction of some kind?

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
The kind of symptoms you are developing do not point towards any std. You are probably over anxious . In case you tend to develop any skin lesions ,you can surely click s picture of the same and consult a dermatologist here on this forum .
But the symptoms you are developing at present are just suggestive of mild cold or some body allergic response .
You can take some oral antihistamines for two to three days .
Since you had an unprotected exposure with a person of unknown hiv status ,you can get a hiv testing done at three months.

so anixenty can cause a tingley and burning sensations? and you believe the rash on my arm could have been a allergic response?what about the swollen armpits

The rash on your arm must have caused swelling of armpit lymph nodes . Since now the rash has healed ,it is difficult to say for sure the reason for the rash .
However if you develop any such lesions again ,you should surely consult a dermatologist with the pictures .
It is quite unusual to develop tingling and burning in the area you have mentioned .
It could either be due to over anxiety or nerve entrapment or it could be a sign of impending zoster infection .
You can start with oral cyanocobalamine tablets once daily and take for atleast two weeks to see the response . This will improve the nerve discomfort.
In case you develop any skin lesions ,do follow up .
Also just to assure you ,none of these symptoms specifically point towards any sexually transmitted disease.
