What Causes Redness And Dryness In Throat Along With Stuffy Feeling In Ears?

Question: For the past 4 weeks I have had a red dry throat, feels like sandpaper, stuffy full feeling in my both ears, dry cough, irritation in the middle of my chest. No fever, I have a lot of energy, still go hiking, drink a lot of water but it seems not to help the dryness. No headache. No fatigue.

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description it appears to be an allergy or a viral infection involving the throat and chest. Steam inhalation, Listerine gargles along with levocetirizine should help. Expectorant cough medication like Priton linctus would also help. If the symptoms persist or you develop fever and/or productive cough then you should consult your doctor to examine your throat and chest. Throat swab/culture and chest x ray may be advised based on the clinical findings. Antibiotics can also be prescribed accordingly.
