Brief Answer:
Intra-lesional corticosteroids are likely to be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

The redness and inflammation over the keloid can be reduce by injecting corticosteroids into the keloid. It comes in brands like kenacort. It is effective in relieving the inflammation but the dose may need to be repeated from time to time. Even in case of surgical removal, there is significant possibility of recurrence.
