What Causes Redness And Irritation After Total Knee Arthroplasty?
Stop Neosporin...Urgently
Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-Stop Neosporin...Urgently
Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
On review of your facts, IN My opinion You seem to have this redness at site of adhesive on your leg, which is mostly due to-
Neosporin cream.
As its almost-6 days, after aquacell removal, the possibility of aquacell dressing allergy is almost NIL.
In this scenario, the redness at the site of adhesive seems to be from the Neosporin contact dermatitis due to drug allergy.
Do's Suggested-
STOP Neosporin
and Contact your attending Doctor Urgently.
Tab Loratidine- to control dermatitis
Apply steroid cream, with script from your doctor.
As the drug reaction is there, It would be prudent to take further medicines under his cover and after physical examination.
Above advise is only for educating and helping a way out as suggested above.
Next appointment-
For any emergency or for Follow up after 3 days after your doctors visit.
Hope this would help you to plan for needful treatment on above suggested lines, with help of your attending doctors.
Dear, Hope this precise and specific reply would help you to resolve your health issues with help of your doctors there.
