The common reasons of itching in anal area are fungal infection and worm infestation. For fungal infection, application of antifungal creams like clotrimazole/ setraconazole/miconazole twice daily is advised. For symptomatic relief, antihistaminics like levocetrizine/ fexofenadine are advised. Keep the area clean and dry. For worm infestation, drugs like albendazole / mebendazole are advised.
