Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
The large read area can often be an indication that the infection is spreading. often this requires antibiotic treatment by mouth. I wouldn't call this an emergency. However, I do feel you should contact your doctor about this. Your doctor may want to opt for oral treatment.

Detailed Answer:
The hives are not that worrisome. However, I don't like your description of the redness spreading down his legs. It would be a good idea to have him checked earlier and not wait until tomorrow.

Would by any chance the red raised area just be thrush? I know please suffer from that whilst on antibiotics. And the swollen upper lip isn't a major concern to you then a child that young wouldn't get cellulitis would they just to reassure me

Detailed Answer:
Yes, the raised area could be thrush.
But a child this age can get cellulitis and that is precisely my concern.
