Question: I took Doxycyline Hyclate and my skin got very red, feels like my skin is burning, and its sensitive to the sun. What should I do?

Dear sir, Doxycycline may cause your skin to be more sensitive to sunlight. Exposure to sunlight, even for brief periods of time while using doxycycline may cause skin rash, itching, redness or other discoloration of the skin, or a severe sunburn . here are some precautions to follow while on doxycycline:
1) Stay out of direct sunlight, especially between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., if possible.
Wear protective clothing, including a hat.
2)Apply a sunblock product that has a sun protection factor (SPF) number of 50.
In the meanwhile you can apply cold compresses on the affected skin to reduce the redness.i hope o answered your question.
